Terms of Use
Effective date: 2026-09-25
1. About IURA
These terms describe the conditions for using the website and services of INTERNATIONAL UNATTENDED RETAIL ASSOCIATION (“IURA”), a nonprofit organized under the laws of Washington State, United States.
Our mailing address is 9407 NE Vancouver Mall Dr, Ste 104 #5636, Vancouver, WA 98662, United States. Contact us at legal@iuras.org.
These terms apply subject to applicable law and any specific terms disclosed and agreed for a particular service or purchase.
2. Eligibility and accounts
Membership is open to self-service business operators and suppliers worldwide, including vending, laundromats, car parks, car washes, dog washes, ATMs and other self-service sectors.
You must have legal capacity to enter any agreement you make with IURA. If acting for an organisation, you must have authority to do so.
Provide accurate account and business information, keep it reasonably current and protect your sign-in credentials. Do not impersonate another person or business. Notify us of suspected unauthorised account use.
3. Services and third-party information
IURA offers community and business services such as directories, supplier discovery, marketplace listings, discussions, articles, downloadable resources and quote requests. Access requirements are stated with the relevant features.
Users are responsible for their own listings, offers and contributions. A listing or membership does not by itself guarantee qualifications, regulatory compliance, product quality or performance.
Independently verify counterparties and commercial terms before entering a transaction. A quote request does not, by itself, oblige a recipient to respond or a requester to accept an offer.
Unless IURA expressly agrees otherwise, contracts you make directly with another operator or supplier are between you and that party.
4. Membership payments
Members pay for one year of membership upfront. The applicable price, currency, billing period and any taxes or additional charges will be disclosed before purchase.
If a trial is offered and you agree to a paid membership at checkout, the annual membership fee is due at the end of the trial as disclosed at checkout. Annual renewals, if any, occur as disclosed and agreed at checkout.
Any renewal or trial arrangement must be disclosed before you agree to it. These terms do not authorise charges that were not properly disclosed and agreed.
Payments are processed through Stripe. Any separately purchased advertising, resources or other services are subject to the terms disclosed for those purchases.
5. Cancellation and unused membership refunds
You may cancel your annual membership for any reason before the end of the paid membership year and receive a refund for its unused portion.
To request cancellation, email legal@iuras.org from your account email address or provide enough information for us to identify and verify the membership.
Cancellation takes effect on the date we receive your request. The membership-fee refund is calculated proportionally using the number of unused days remaining in that paid membership year. Paid membership benefits end on the effective cancellation date.
We will confirm the cancellation and refund amount. Refund receipt may depend on the payment provider and your financial institution. This policy does not imply that refunds are processed automatically.
Nothing in this section reduces any cancellation, withdrawal or refund rights that apply under mandatory law.
6. Responsible use
Do not use IURA to:
- Break applicable law or infringe intellectual-property, privacy or other rights.
- Publish fraudulent, misleading, threatening, harassing or otherwise unlawful content.
- Send spam, impersonate others or manipulate reviews, rankings or rewards.
- Access accounts or information without authorisation, distribute malware or interfere with security.
- Share personal information without appropriate authority or another lawful basis.
- Evade access restrictions or redistribute restricted resources without permission.
You are responsible for complying with laws applicable to your business, advertising, offers and transactions.
7. Contributions and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit. You must have the rights needed to submit it and permit its intended use.
You grant IURA a non-exclusive permission to store, display, reproduce and technically adapt your content as reasonably necessary to provide the service, including through providers acting on our behalf and consistently with the feature’s visibility settings. This permission does not transfer ownership or separately authorise unrelated promotional use.
When content is removed, we will stop displaying it through the relevant service, subject to legal retention requirements, technical backup cycles and copies already held by others.
IURA’s branding, software and original resources remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Use downloadable materials in accordance with any accompanying licence. Access alone does not grant resale or redistribution rights.
8. Educational resources
Articles, templates and other educational materials provide general information, not individual legal, tax, financial or professional advice. Obtain qualified advice for your circumstances and jurisdiction where appropriate.
9. Moderation and restrictions
We may investigate reported violations and remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful activity, breaches of these terms or security risks.
Where reasonably possible, we will explain the restriction and provide an opportunity to contact us about it. Urgent action may be necessary before notice can be given.
To report content or question a moderation decision, email legal@iuras.org. Moderation does not remove any rights or remedies you have under applicable law.
10. Availability and responsibility
We aim to maintain a useful and reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or the accuracy of every third-party contribution.
Each party remains responsible as provided by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability, statutory guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how IURA handles personal information. Acceptance of these terms is not blanket consent to optional tracking, marketing or every form of data processing.
12. Changes and complaints
We may update these terms as services or legal requirements change. We will identify the effective date and give notice or seek agreement where required by law. Changes do not override mandatory rights or agreed purchase terms retrospectively.
For questions, complaints or attempts to resolve a dispute, contact legal@iuras.org. These terms do not require arbitration, select an exclusive court or remove protections available under applicable law.
